These are companies that control the affiliate sales monitoring and commission payments on behalf of a large number of suppliers. You'll be able to pick and choose the businesses that interest you from their inventory. They also email you whenever a new business joins their scheme. This saves you the time spent on seeking suppliers, but the banner job still must be done. (In this case, it was 'E-Business and E-Marketing'.) This random showing is handled by the "Automated Ads" software, and always shows the most successful products.

An important fact to bear in mind is that anything you buy at ClickBank is refundable for the period of the first 60 days. This guarantee is enforced on suppliers by the ClickBank system, whether they like it or not. Your money will therefore be refunded if you do not keep the item.

"What commission will I be paid?"

It varies tremendously. You'll most likely target those affiliate programs that pay a minimum of 4% for consumer goods such as televisions and games units. Intangible goods such as ebooks and computer software may pay out 50% or higher! 25% is common for financial services. Insurance agencies may award you $5 just for sending a name and address, without actually selling anything at all, and $70 if the prospect buys an insurance policy. You may be surprised at some of the organisations that offer affiliate programs, even giant ones, like Argos, Sears, Walmart, Sony...

"What else will I require?"

Persistence. Don't anticipate results overnight. It can take a little time and effort on your part, but success will come to you for sure. The measure of your success is generally proportional to your diligence in the first several weeks. Ultimately, your business will attain critical mass and start to snowball.
