The short response is "Yes", but it needs to be qualified. Number one, realize that there are NO FREE WAYS to earn a living, nor are there any ways to generate FREE income, however you prefer to describe it! Now, when a visitor clicks the banner and buys a service or product, you'll be paid a commission.

If that's too time-consuming for you, there is, happily, a faster method. Join up with some of the "affiliate tracking websites". These are companies that deal with the affiliate sales tracking and fee disbursements on behalf of numerous businesses. You can pick and choose the businesses that are of interest to you from their inventory. They also e-mail you every time a new business joins their scheme. This spares you the time spent on searching for suppliers, but the banner work nevertheless must be done. Some affiliate trackers are WebGains.com, AffiliateFuture.co.uk, ShareASale.com, LinkShare.com, LinkConnector.com, AffiliateWindow.com, Buy.at, CommissionJunction.com.

If you find all that too tough to undertake, there's an even simpler and faster method. Just follow these steps: (1) Join ClickBank as an affiliate by clicking the hyperlink near the top of the column at the left. (You don't have to provide a web site address.) The cost? Nothing. (2) Sign up for the "Automated Ads" life membership by clicking on the banner near the top of the column at the right. The cost? Nothing. (3) Look at the "Automated Ads" training videos. (4) In case you don't possess a web site, get a blog in just a few minutes at WordPress.com, and then look at the "Automated Ads" WordPress video clip. The cost? Nothing.

For something like an hour's effort, you should have banner adverts on your web pages or blog like the tall one in the left column on this page. Each time someone arrives at or reloads the page, the banner advert changes randomly among the most popular ClickBank products in the category you selected. (In this case, it was 'E-Business and E-Marketing'.) This random display is controlled by the "Automated Ads" software system, and always shows the most successful products.

"What commission will I be rewarded with?"

It can vary tremendously. You will very likely try out those affiliate schemes that pay out at least 4% on consumer goods such as TVs and games consoles. Digital products such as e-books and computer software might pay out 50% or higher! 25% is widespread for financial products. Insurance agencies can give you $5 just for supplying a prospective client, without actually selling anything at all, and $70 if the prospective customer purchases a policy. You may be surprised at some of the organizations that operate affiliate schemes, even gigantic ones, such as Argos, Sony, Sears, Walmart...

"Is there something else I will require?"

Patience. Don't anticipate riches immediately. It may need some time and effort at your end, but results will come to you for sure. The measure of your success is normally dependent on your labour in the early months. Ultimately, your venture will attain critical mass and start to snowball. From that moment it will probably be not easy to stop the cash rolling in. Have a good time!
