I want to quit dog walking to make more money?
Hi I am a student and I am really starting to worry about money. I chose to walk dogs as I love animals and it was quite a flexible job at the time. I am just not making enough money from it however. Both the dogs I walk only need 30 mins and they quite often cancel me during the week. I spend 10 out of the 20 I make on petrol walking one of them. It's just not making me enough money and I need to get a temporary job over christmas or I will have no money to live off but I can't with dog walking taking up the best part of a couple of hours each day including travel . However, I don't know what to say in situations like this and how much notice I give. One couple have had a hard time recently and there are a lack of dog walkers in their area so I would feel guilty leaving them Thanks for any helpP.s. my dad pays my rent which I feel unbelievably guilty about but the student loan I get each year doesn't even cover rent let alone maintanence and he has being saying recently he would like it if I can help out a bit which is another reason I want to get a proper job.
