Any time someone hits or refreshes the page, the banner advertisement changes at random between the most popular ClickBank products from the category you selected. (In this case, it was 'E-Business and E-Marketing'.) This random showing is handled by the "Automated Ads" software, and always shows the most successful products.

It can vary greatly. You'll most likely want to go for those affiliate programs that pay out at least 4% on consumer products such as TV sets and games units. Digital products like e-books and software can pay 50% or more! 25% is common for financial products. Insurance companies could pay you $5 merely for sending a sales prospect, without selling anything at all, and $70 if the prospective customer purchases an insurance policy. You may be surprised at some of the organisations that offer affiliate programs, even giant ones, like Walmart, Sears, Argos, Sony...

"Is there anything else I shall need?"

Persistence. Do not expect miracles right away. It may need some effort and time at your end, but results will happen to you for certain. The amount of your success is usually proportional to your efforts in the first months. In the end, your endeavor will reach critical mass and begin to snowball.
