(4) In case you don't own a website, get a blog in just a few minutes at WordPress.com, and then view the "Automated Ads" WordPress video. The cost? Nothing.

For around an hour's effort, you should have banner advertisements on your web pages or blog like the tall one in the left column on this page. Any time anyone visits or refreshes the page, the banner advert rotates at random among the most popular ClickBank products in the category you selected. (In this case, it was 'E-Business and E-Marketing'.) This random display is handled by the "Automated Ads" software system, and always displays the most successful products.

The products on the right are also ClickBank items, but they do not change. There are no fixed rules. You'll most likely select those affiliate programs which pay at least 4% on consumer products such as TVs and games units. Digital products such as e-books and software programs can pay 50% or higher! 25% is widespread for financial services. Insurance agencies can hand you $5 simply for sending a name and address, without selling anything at all, and $70 if the prospect purchases an insurance policy. You may be surprised at some of the organizations that offer affiliate schemes, even giant ones, such as Walmart, Argos, Sears, Sony...

"Will I need anything else?"

Persistence. Do not expect miracles overnight. It could require some effort and time from you, but a successful result will come for sure. The amount of your success is normally appropriate to your labour in the first months. Ultimately, your endeavour will reach critical mass and start to snowball. Then it will probably be difficult to stop the cash rolling into your bank account. Good luck!
