In case you imagine that you have nothing to offer, you would almost surely be wrong!

"What can I offer to my audience?"

The easiest way to make money on the Internet is to advertise products or services supplied by other businesses. This is called "Affiliate Marketing". You become an affiliate of the product producer or service provider, and they hand you money as a commission on whatever you sell for them.

What does it cost to become an affiliate? Nothing! No more than the time taken to research a few good affiliate services or products. Explore the Web for "???? affiliate program" (where "????" is your preferred subject matter of interest). When you have found some you want, sign up for them. (You may need to give a website URL for them to check. Do not be concerned if you don't own one; We shall handle this in just a minute or two.) After they've approved you, proceed to their 'banners' or 'creatives' section and choose an appropriate banner. Copy the banner code and paste this into your web site pages wherever you would like the banner to be seen. Done! Now, whenever a visitor clicks the banner and buys a product or service, you will be awarded a commission.

If that's too tedious for you, there is, luckily, a quicker method. Become a member of several of the "affiliate tracking sites". These are organizations that operate the affiliate sales tracking and commission disbursements for many suppliers. You can pick the suppliers that interest you from their lists. They also notify you each time a new business joins their scheme. This spares you the time you spend on searching for suppliers, but the banner work still needs to be done. ClickBank is an affiliate monitoring company that deals only in digital products, specifically, products which can be downloaded through the supplier's website instantly after they have been purchased, such as computer software, ebooks, videos, etc. Simply follow this procedure: (1) Join ClickBank as an affiliate by clicking the hyperlink near the top of the column on the left. (It's not necessary to give a website address.) The cost? Nothing. (2) Sign up for the "Automated Ads" life membership by clicking on the banner at the top of the column at the right. The cost? Nothing. (3) View the "Automated Ads" instruction videos. (4) If you don't possess a web page, create a blog in just a few minutes at WordPress.com, and then view the "Automated Ads" WordPress video tutorial. The cost? Nothing.

After just about an hour's effort, you should have banner ads on your web pages or blog like the tall one in the left column on this page. Each time a visitor arrives at or reloads the page, the banner ad changes at random among the best-selling ClickBank products in the category you selected. (In this case, it was 'E-Business and E-Marketing'.) This random display is controlled by the "Automated Ads" software, and always shows the most successful products.

We've studied their product sales web pages, and, based on what we saw, judge them worthwhile to have a look at. There's no hard and fast rule. You will probably want to go for those affiliate programmes that pay out at least 4% on consumer products like televisions and games consoles. Digital products such as e-books and software might pay out 50% or higher! 25% is widespread for financial products. Insurance agencies might give you $5 just for a prospective customer, without selling anything at all, and $70 if the prospect buys insurance. You might be surprised at some of the corporations that run affiliate programmes, even giant ones, such as Argos, Sears, Walmart, Sony...

"What else shall I need?"

Persistence. Do not anticipate riches overnight. It might need a little time and effort from you, but results will come for sure. The amount of your success is usually proportional to your effort in the first several weeks. Sooner or later, your business will attain critical mass and start to snowball.
