The brief answer is "Yes", but it must be explained. "How much commission will I be rewarded with?"

There's no hard and fast rule. You will probably want to associate with those affiliate programs that pay out at least 4% on consumer goods such as TV sets and games consoles. Digital products like e-books and software can pay out 50% or higher! 25% is widespread for financial services. Insurance companies could hand you $5 simply for providing a lead, without selling anything, and $70 if the prospective client purchases insurance. You may be surprised at some of the companies that operate affiliate programmes, even huge ones, such as Sony, Argos, Sears, Walmart...

"What else will I require?"

Persistence. Don't anticipate riches right away. It may need a little time and effort at your end, but results will happen for sure. The amount of your success will likely be dependent on your diligence in the first several weeks. In due course, your endeavor will attain critical mass and start to snowball.
