i have heard lots of people say that it does not matter what job you have, as long as you work really hard in it you can make more than 100k pounds per year it is true or is it just people saying rubbish when they go in to yoda mode. suppose i become a mechanical or chemical engineer with a 2 1 degree. can i make more than 100k pounds per year if i do really hard work and lots of work.

The brief answer is "Yes", but it needs to be explained. Firstly, recognize that there are NO FREE WAYS to generate income, nor are there any ways to produce FREE money, whichever way you like to call it! There isn't a system in which you pay nothing and do nothing, and you make cash automatically. If there were, millions of people would be using it and they of course would not tell it to anybody else. There are no on-line philanthropists who want to "help" someone else to make money out of a spirit of good will; They want only to help themselves in some way. To make money you need to spend a certain amount of your own funds or time or effort, or some combination of these.

That does not mean that you need always pay out cash for help or ideas to make money. There are quite a lot of sources of help, and even software programs, that necessitate no cash cost, but do require your effort and time to make the ideas succeed. An example is the "Automated Ads" software tool near the top of the column at the right. (Don't click on it yet.) More of this in a second or two.

These are agencies that control the affiliate sales monitoring and fee disbursements on behalf of many suppliers. You're able to choose the suppliers that appeal to you from their lists. They also advise you each time a new supplier joins their scheme. This saves you the time spent on seeking suppliers, but the banner work nevertheless needs to be done. If you discover all that too hard to try and do, there's an even less complicated and quicker way. In fact, it's almost certainly impossible to find any method for making money less complicated and quicker to put into operation than ClickBank + "Automated Ads". ClickBank is an affiliate tracking company that handles only digital products, that is, products that can be downloaded through the supplier's website directly after they've been bought, like software, ebooks, videos, etc. Just follow this procedure: (1) Sign up with ClickBank as an affiliate by clicking the link near the top of the column on the left. (It's not required to give a web site URL.) The cost? Nothing. (2) Join up for the "Automated Ads" lifetime membership by clicking the banner at the top of the column at the right. The cost? Nothing. (3) Look at the "Automated Ads" instruction video clips. (4) For those who don't have a web site, make a blog in just a few minutes at WordPress.com, and then view the "Automated Ads" WordPress video tutorial. The cost? Nothing.

With about an hour's effort, you should have banner advertisements on your web pages or blog like the tall one in the left column on this page. Whenever a visitor hits or refreshes the page, the banner advert rotates at random among the top-selling ClickBank products from the category you chose. (In this case, it was 'E-Business and E-Marketing'.) This random display is controlled by the "Automated Ads" software system, and always displays the most successful products.

The products on the right are also ClickBank items, but they do not change. We've hard-coded them into this page, because we consider that some of them might be helpful to visitors who read this article. We've read their sales web pages, and, at face value, deem them worthwhile to have a look at. We can endorse only those that we use ourselves, which are 'Micro Niche Finder', 'Elite Article Marketing Tools', 'Easy Video Player' and 'Automated Ads'. These software tools are a great aid if you are serious about making significant cash in Internet marketing.

As soon as you are all prepared, either with your web page or WordPress blog, you'll need to attract public attention to it. An important fact to keep in mind is that anything you buy at ClickBank is refundable during the first 60 days. This guarantee is imposed on suppliers by the ClickBank system, whether they like it or not. Your payment will therefore be refunded if you don't keep the item.

"How much commission will I be rewarded with?"

It depends on the kind of product. You'll probably aim for those affiliate schemes that pay a minimum of 4% on consumer products such as televisions and games units. Intangible goods such as ebooks and computer software might pay out 50% or more! 25% is common for financial products. Insurance companies could award you $5 simply for sending a sales lead, without actually selling anything, and $70 if the prospective client purchases an insurance policy. You may be surprised at some of the organizations that offer affiliate schemes, even huge ones, such as Walmart, Sony, Sears, Argos...

"Shall I require anything else?"

Persistence. Do not anticipate miracles immediately. It may require some time and effort from you, but a successful outcome will come for sure. The amount of your success will likely be reflected by your hard work in the first months. Sooner or later, your venture will achieve critical mass and start to snowball.
