It depends according to the type of product. You'll most likely target those affiliate programmes which pay out at least 4% on consumer goods like TV sets and games consoles. Intangible goods such as e-books and software could pay out 50% or higher! 25% is common for financial services. Insurance companies can award you $5 simply for supplying a sales lead, without actually selling anything at all, and $70 if the prospective client purchases an insurance policy. You may be surprised at some of the organisations that operate affiliate schemes, even giant ones, like Walmart, Argos, Sears, Sony...

"What else will I require?"

Patience. Do not anticipate results overnight. It may take a little effort and time on your part, but results will come for certain. The measure of your success is usually proportional to your effort in the first months. In the end, your endeavour will achieve critical mass and begin to snowball.
